Customer returns, overstock, end-of-line and ex-display stock, inspected and sold in our online auctions. We list it, deal with the buyer, post it and pay you. 20% commission on what sells. No monthly fee. No minimum volume.
How it works
- You tell us what you have. Email a list or photos with the retail price, condition, and box size and weight. We tell you which we would take, and say so plainly if something is not worth sending.
- You send it to us. Stock comes to our saleroom in Swansea. You arrange and pay for delivery to us.
- We inspect and describe it. We check each item against what you told us, photograph it, and record its condition in plain words, including any damage or marks.
- We agree a reserve with you. A reserve is the lowest price at which an item may sell. We recommend one for each item; you agree or change it by email before the sale opens.
- We list it. Items go into our next suitable timed online auction on Easylive and Bidspirit.
- We deal with the buyer. Payment, questions, collection.
- We post it. Packed and sent from Swansea. The buyer pays the postage.
- We settle with you. A statement within 7 days of the sale ending. Payment by bank transfer within 14 days of the sale ending, once the buyer’s money has cleared.
What we take
- Customer returns in new, unused or open-box condition
- Overstock and end-of-line
- Ex-display
- Items with damaged packaging, with the damage shown in the photographs
We look at each item individually. As a guide, items with a retail price of £20 or more.
Home, lighting and furniture we can post go well in a parcel. Furniture and large items are collection only from Swansea, or we can quote.
What we do not take: items we cannot inspect, counterfeit goods, anything you do not own or are not allowed to sell, and hazardous goods.
What it costs
- 20% commission on each item that sells. That 20% includes VAT.
- No monthly fee.
- No minimum volume. Send us one item or fifty.
- Nothing to pay on an item that does not sell. We talk through unsold items with you on a regular weekly or fortnightly call.
- No handling or lotting fees.
Buyers pay a separate premium on top of the final bid. It does not come out of your money.
What to expect, and what not to
An auction finds the price on the day. We can recommend a reserve and protect it, but we cannot promise a price or a sale date. Some items will sell for more than you expected and some for less.
If you only have a few items and want to keep the full price, selling them yourself on eBay or Marketplace may be the right call. This suits you if you would rather not list, answer questions and post, and you are content with the price an auction makes.
Questions
Is there a monthly fee or a minimum?
No. We charge 20% commission, including VAT, on items that sell.
How soon do I get paid?
We send a statement within 7 days of the sale ending and pay within 14 days of the sale ending, once the buyer has paid and the funds have cleared. If a buyer has not paid by then, we tell you and pay you within 7 days of the money clearing.
What if an item does not sell?
Nothing is owed on it. We go through unsold items with you on a regular weekly or fortnightly call, and agree together what happens to each one: offer it again, you collect it, or we donate or dispose of it.
Do you set the price?
We recommend a reserve. You agree it. We will not sell below it.
Who pays for postage?
The buyer does. Postage and a handling charge are on their invoice. Nothing is deducted from you for it.
Who pays to get the stock to you?
The owner of the stock pays. You arrange and pay for getting it to our saleroom in Swansea.
Where is it sold?
In our timed online auctions on Easylive and Bidspirit.
Do you tell buyers who the item came from?
No. We name the product, not the seller.
Is there a contract?
Yes. We send you our Vendor Consignment Agreement to read before you commit to anything.
Who pays the VAT?
Our 20% commission includes VAT, and we give VAT-registered businesses a VAT invoice for it. How VAT applies to the sale price depends on whether your business is VAT-registered, and we confirm it with you in writing before anything is listed.
